Backups

24-7 WEBS backs up all files daily, weekly, and monthly on the cPanel servers. As well, we take the extra step to backup all files to offsite facilities on a monthly basis and maintain these files offsite for at least 3 months. To you our customer, this means that backups are always available and may be restored. Please note there is a cost to restore sites from backup as staff time and upload charges may be incurred.

In the case of a failure, there is no guarantee that your data can be restored successfully. If the data is compromised and then backed up, the back up data is also compromised. Always keep a full current copy of your website on your computer and make sure that data is backed up from there to a tape, second drive, another remote location or CD. If you are using MySQL for critical data, back it up frequently.

When you use the backup function in control panel, it creates a file on the server which you can view in Control Panel-->File Manager. Download this file to your local computer and delete it from the server. It just takes up unnecessary space if you leave it on the server.
