Account Specific Issues

Email Issues

Cannot Access cPanel
  1. The correct link is http://yourdomainname.ext:2082 or https://yourdomainname.ext:2083 where yourdomainname.ext is your proper domain name and proper extension (.com, .net etc.) Do not put the www. in front of it. you may also use http://yourdomainname.ext/cpanel. This is easier to remember.Make sure you are using a full colon as a separator before 2082 or 2083.
  2. Make sure that your firewall permits access to ports 2082 and 2083.
  3. Make sure your domain name has not expired and that you can reach your website. You can check with your domain registrar about the expiry date and run a traceroute to be sure you can reach the site.
  4. Make sure your home page does not show a "This site is temporarily Unavailable" message.
cPanel Does not Display Properly

You may need to change the cPanel style to have it display properly in your browser.

Cannot Connect to Website or Email
  1. Make sure your domain name has not expired. Check with your domain registrar.
  2. Make sure your home page does not show a "This site is temporarily Unavailable" message.
  3. The Ip address you are connecting from may have been blocked by the server firewall. This will happen if someone on your network is guessing at usernames and passwords or could be for other reasons. Please contact support to resolve this issue.
Account Unavailable Message

If you are trying to access your website and you are seeing this page, it is because one of the following things has happened.

  • Your account is due for renewal and we were unable to process your payment.
  • You have violated our terms and conditions and an investigation is in process.
  • We have been unable to reach you at the email address on file with us or registered by you on the server in cPanel.

In all cases attempts have been made to contact you by email. If you have not received any notice, either your email account is no longer active, or you have some kind of filter on your email account that prevents messages from us reaching you. Please be sure to review your welcome email and "whitelist" our email addresses as described in that email or add them to your contacts.

If you continue to have difficulties contacting us you are welcome to phone our sales and billing department toll free at 1-888-658-8668 9 am to 5 pm Eastern time. If we do not answer right away, leave a message. Your call will be returned in very short order.

PLEASE NOTE: ACCOUNTS ARE NEVER SUSPENDED WITHOUT ATTEMPTING TO CONTACT THE ACCOUNT OWNER.

 FrontPage™ Issues

When publishing using FrontPage, I receive errors.

The most common reasons are:

  1. The extensions have been corrupted on the server. To fix this, simply sign in to control panel, go to the FrontPage icon and uninstall the FrontPage extensions. Then install the FrontPage extensions.
  2. You have "Sharepoint" services enabled in FrontPage. Turn them off in FrontPage. Check the help file on your version to determine how to do this.
  3. You have a firewall installed blocking port 80. Open port 80 and try again.

Error:

406 Not Acceptable
Not Acceptable An appropriate representation of the requested resource /_vti_bin/_vti_aut/author.exe could not be found on this server. Apache/x.x.xx Server at www.<domain> Port 80

Solution: Add this line to your .htaccess file in your public_html folder - SecFilterEngine Off

Flash Files

Make sure you are uploading your files in binary mode and NOT ascii mode.

Cannot Send Email

If you cannot send mail from your email client program, change your outgoing server port to "26". Many ISP companies are now blocking port 25 to control the flood of spam. (Probably a good idea).

You can also try using the outgoing server of your internet service provider. (ISP) That's the company that supplies your internet connection.

Cannot Receive Email

Usually email is not being delivered because your email account on the server is full. Check into your account through webmail and clean out all the folders including Trash and Sent folders. Blackberry access leaves messages on the server in all of these folders.
